Important information about bookings, appointments and tattoo services at Last Horizon Tattoo.
These Terms & Conditions apply to tattoo enquiries, bookings and appointments made with Last Horizon Tattoo. By making a booking and paying a booking deposit, you agree to the terms set out below.
They are intended to keep the booking process clear and fair for everyone and explain what you can expect when arranging and attending a tattoo appointment.
Bookings & Deposits
A booking deposit is required to secure your appointment. Your appointment is not confirmed until the requested deposit has been received.
Booking deposits are deducted from the final cost of your tattoo, provided the appointment goes ahead as arranged.
Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to move your appointment, please provide at least one week’s notice. Where sufficient notice is given, your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date.
If less than one week’s notice is provided, you do not attend your appointment, or you arrive too late for the appointment to reasonably go ahead, your deposit may be lost and a new deposit may be required to rebook.
Significant changes to the agreed tattoo idea, placement or scope of the work may require the appointment to be changed or additional time to be booked.
Appointments & Arriving Prepared
Please arrive on time for your appointment and follow any preparation advice provided beforehand. Arriving significantly late may reduce the amount of tattooing time available or mean the appointment needs to be rearranged.
Please arrive fit and well enough to be tattooed. Tattooing may need to be postponed if you are unwell, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if there is anything affecting the skin or your health that could make tattooing unsafe.
You are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information about your health, medication, allergies or anything else that may affect your tattoo appointment. A consent form must be completed before tattooing can begin.
If I believe that proceeding with a tattoo would be unsafe or not in your best interests, I reserve the right to refuse or postpone the appointment.
Age Requirements
You must be 18 years of age or over to be tattooed at Last Horizon Tattoo. Tattoos cannot be carried out on anyone under the age of 18, even with parental or guardian consent.
Valid photographic identification may be requested before your appointment where proof of age is required. If suitable identification cannot be provided when requested, the appointment may not be able to go ahead.
Designs & Artwork
Custom tattoo designs are created specifically for the client and remain the intellectual property of Last Horizon Tattoo and the artist unless otherwise agreed.
Designs are generally prepared in the lead-up to your appointment and may not be provided in advance. Time is available at the appointment to discuss the design and make reasonable adjustments before tattooing begins.
Significant changes to the original idea, style, placement or size agreed at the time of booking may require additional design time, a change to the appointment length or a new appointment and deposit.
Tattoo designs, drawings and other artwork created by Last Horizon Tattoo may not be copied, reproduced, used by another tattoo artist or used commercially without permission.
Pricing & Payments
Tattoo prices are based on factors including the size, placement, level of detail and estimated time required to complete the work. Any price or time estimate provided before an appointment is based on the information available at the time and may change if the design or requirements change.
Booking deposits are deducted from the final cost of the tattoo where applicable. The remaining balance is payable on the day of your appointment.
Payment can be made using the payment methods available at the time of your appointment. Where third-party payment services are used, their own terms and conditions may also apply.
Aftercare & Healing
Aftercare instructions will be provided following your tattoo appointment. It is important that these instructions are followed carefully to support the healing process and reduce the risk of complications.
Once you leave the studio, the healing and ongoing care of your tattoo is your responsibility. Last Horizon Tattoo cannot be held responsible for problems caused by failure to follow the aftercare advice provided, improper care, picking or scratching the tattoo, excessive sun exposure, swimming or other activities that may negatively affect healing.
Every person heals differently and some variation in the appearance of a tattoo during and after healing is normal. If you have any concerns about how your tattoo is healing, please contact Last Horizon Tattoo for advice.
Touch-Ups
Where required, one complimentary touch-up may be offered following your tattoo, provided it is booked within two months of the original appointment.
Complimentary touch-ups are intended to correct small areas where the tattoo may not have healed or retained pigment as expected during the normal healing process. They do not include changes to the original design or additions to the tattoo.
Where a touch-up is required as a result of poor or incorrect aftercare, damage during the healing process, or failure to follow the aftercare advice provided, the appointment will be chargeable at the minimum setup fee.
Tattoos on the hands and fingers are excluded from the complimentary touch-up policy due to the nature of these placements and the increased likelihood of fading or pigment loss. Any touch-up work required on the hands or fingers will be chargeable.
Touch-ups will only be carried out once the tattoo has fully healed.
Numbing Cream
If you are considering using numbing cream for your appointment, please contact Last Horizon Tattoo beforehand rather than applying it without discussing it first.
Numbing cream is not suitable for every tattoo or style of work. It can temporarily affect the texture and condition of the skin, which may make certain types of tattooing more difficult. This can be particularly important with precise pattern, geometric or ornamental work where changes to the skin may affect the accuracy of the finished design.
If numbing cream is suitable for your tattoo, we can recommend the type of product normally used and advise how it should be applied for the appointment. Any numbing product you choose to purchase and use should be obtained from a reputable source and used strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Numbing products can cause adverse reactions, including skin irritation and, in some cases, more serious reactions. Counterfeit or incorrectly formulated products may also be available online. Last Horizon Tattoo cannot guarantee the safety, authenticity or suitability of a numbing product purchased and applied by a client.
If the skin shows signs of irritation, damage or an adverse reaction when you arrive for your appointment, tattooing may need to be postponed for your safety.
Hand & Finger Tattoos
Tattoos on the hands and fingers are particularly prone to fading, spreading and uneven pigment retention due to the nature of the skin and the amount of movement, friction and exposure these areas receive.
Because of this, Last Horizon Tattoo cannot guarantee how well tattoos in these placements will heal or retain their appearance over time. Some areas may require additional touch-ups, while others may naturally soften or fade more quickly than tattoos elsewhere on the body.
Any touch-ups required for hand or finger tattoos are chargeable and are not included within the complimentary touch-up policy.
